July 4th, 2023 Event Times 4:00pm- 10:00pm Gates open at 3:00 *****This is a free event***** All parking on site is $10 to help cover costs of the Firework display The Festival on the Fourth is 100% hosted through the Awake Palmer Lake 501©3 It is our honor to host the Festival on the Fourth, which celebrates the Hometown charm of Palmer Lake, Colorado, and the Independence of our Great Nation. This event is free to the public and is only made possible by generous sponsors, parking fees and any proceeds made at the event. ABOUT THE FESTIVAL ON THE FOURTH AT PALMER LAKE Spend your late afternoon and evening in beautiful Palmer Lake, and enjoy food, fun and frolic. Beer garden, wine booth, live music by Air Force Blue Delta band, Pikes Peak Highlanders (bagpipers)and Mojo filter, food & gift vendors. Enjoy entertainment from the Renaissance Festival Street performers throughout the festival grounds, face painting, corn hole stations, kids dance party, free gifts and much more. Don’t miss the display of motorcycles Pike peak Harley Davidson has to offer and giveaways for the kids, be sure to stop by and meet Maverick the dog from Phil Long Ford and take a picture or enjoy a quick show from the Airforce Falcon and Falconer! DATE: Tuesday, July 4th, 2023 LOCATION: Palmer Lake Centennial Park, West side of the pedestrian bridge near the ball field. HOURS: Event times: 4:00pm-10:00pm Gates open at 3:00pm for parking and seating Fireworks display scheduled for 9:15pm Park closes at 11:00pm To purchase alcohol all participants must be 21 years of age or older, show current id and have a qualifying stamp. CHILDREN: We love our kids AND all are welcome, but please do not leave your young children unattended at the park. Be sure to check in with our firefighters and police officers for a special gift from each of them. PETS/ANIMALS: No animals will be allowed except service animals that are specifically trained to aid a disabled person and Phil Long Ford’s dog Maverik FOOD and VENDORS: Food trucks and local vendors will be available during the festival to purchase food and other goodies. Specifics coming soon WHAT TO BRING: You are free to bring a lawn chair so you can relax and enjoy enjoy the event, cold drinks, and beer and wine and food will be available for sale within the festival area while listening to some wonderful music. You should also plan for Colorado weather: Bring sunscreen, a hat, a rain jacket, umbrella, and possibly a wagon. MOST IMPORTANTLY: BRING YOUR ID! No ID, no admission to beer & wine garden without it. WEATHER POLICY: THIS IS A RAIN OR SHINE EVENT: As they say, the show must go on, rain or shine. So come prepared for inclement weather; remember, it’s Colorado. If in the worst-case scenario, the fireworks are banned due to a fire hazard, by the Fire Marshal, the FESTIVAL with still go on. There would then be no fee for parking, and we will try to expand the band line up. MUSIC: United States Air Force Academy Band, Pike Peak Highlander’s bagpipers, MoJo Filters, and a DJ Dance Party.
